The eight annual, American Holistic Nurses Association Texas Regional Holistic Nursing Conference will take place April 13 at St. David's School of Nursing at Texas State. The theme of the conference is Holistic Nursing: The Future of Nursing is Here—Now. Nurses and other providers will benefit from leading-edge speakers in health care, including keynotes by Dr. Helen Erickson, nurse theorist and Dr. Margaret Erickson, director American Holistic Nurses Conference.

With the average length of patient stay in hospitals being only 4.5 hours, the nursing and the health professions are expanding into new ways of promoting health. Nurses are assisting people in finding, through insight, solutions to their problems.
