North Lake College Offers New Sustainability Certification Available Online

North Lake College Professor Michael E. Gallaway, a former city of Irving Council member with more than 20 years of work experience in logistics and supply chain management across four different industries, will be teaching an online course, Sustainability Management Certified Professional  (BUSG1092) weeks beginning January 20. The Sustainability Management Association (SMA) offers sustainability practitioners the world’s first professional credential (SMCPTM). Registration is open now.

BUSG 1092 qualifies for continuing education credit and is complimentary for students enrolled in the North Lake College Green Diploma, a sustainability studies and science undergraduate emphasis degree for all majors. SMCPTM is also complimentary to other professional credentials such as the USGBC LEED AP for building-sector professionals. SMA provides sustainability practitioners a professional credential for strategic, systems approach for implementing sustainability initiatives and projects following the triple-bottom-line; economic performance, environmental stewardship and social responsibility.
