The unique, healthy grocery store chain, Trader Joe's, is expanding rapidly in the DFW area, with foods and beverages from the basic to the exotic, including many organic choices. Opening stores in Ft. Worth and in the Woodlands, in Houston, in June, Trader Joe’s will next open a store in Plano in September, on lower Greenville Avenue, in Dallas, in early 2013 and in the Preston Hollow neighborhood of Dallas in 2014.

The 12,500-square-foot Fort Worth store is located at 2701 South Hulen Street, and features a festive décor, blending Trader Joe’s traditional cedar-covered walls, Hawaiian-inspired elements and local flair, including art that celebrates the neighborhood. Hand-painted murals pay homage to the historic Chisholm Trail, TCU, Trinity Park and the Fort Worth skyline.
