Klyde Warren Park Earns LEED Gold Certification

The 5.2-acre Klyde Warren Park, built on a deck bridging Uptown Dallas to Downtown Dallas atop the Woodall Rogers Freeway overpass, has earned LEED Gold certification in the new construction category from the U.S. Green Building Council. The park contains a host of sustainable features, including solar panels, high-efficiency glass, a geothermal cooling system, low water-usage irrigation and LED lighting fixtures.

“Sustainability is part of Klyde Warren Park’s DNA and was a critical piece of every decision during the design and construction phase, as well as our current operations,” says Tara Green, park president. “This certification marks another great milestone for Klyde Warren Park, and we are very proud to join many of our LEED-certified neighbors with this award.”
