Labor Day is Free Yoga Day

The Dallas/Fort Worth yoga community will celebrate the fifth annual DFW Free Day of Yoga this Labor Day, September 5. From sunrise to sunset, participating studios across the Metroplex will offer free classes as a way for people of every age and every fitness level to try yoga for the first time, experience a new style of yoga or share yoga with family and friends. Participants will experience diverse venues ranging from the Crow Museum of Asian art to local studios and local parks.

The Free Day of Yoga will host a Kick-Off Festival from 10 to 3 p.m., September 3, at the Crow Collection of Asian Art, in Dallas, and from 5 to 7 p.m., September 4, at the Fort Worth Water Gardens. Both feature free yoga classes, demonstrations, prize drawings and goody bags provided by Luke’s Locker. Since 2007, more than 17,000 students have joined in the Free Day of Yoga to experience the physical, spiritual, emotional and mental benefits of practicing yoga.
