Whole foods Market plans to open its 11th store on in the Metroplex at 2510 McKinney Avenue, in Uptown on August 12 as part of a residential mixed-use project developed by Gables Residential, the first urban living project built above a grocery store in North Texas.

Located on the McKinney Avenue trolley line, it is pedestrian-focused, to reflect the emerging Uptown residential focus, and has underground parking. Rents in the Gables McKinney high-rise atop the Whole Food Market range from $1,600 to $6,000 per month, and there is a waiting list.
