Dollar Days at Dallas Arboretum

August is the last month of Summer at the Arboretum, which features Gary Lee Price’s Great Contributors Bronze Statutes Exhibit throughout the 66-acre gardens. Dollars Days brings $1 admission, sodas, juice and frozen pops, $2 root beer floats and hotdogs, $4 brownie sundaes and $5 parking. The Children’s Adventure Garden also offers Matter Mondays, Texas Tuesdays, Water Wednesdays, Think Tank Thursdays and Find It Fridays every week in August.

The many beds are bursting with ageratum, impatiens, lobelias, petunias, cleome, begonias, salvia, marigolds and zinnias during the summer. As it heats up, caladiums, lantana, pride of Barbados, variegated tapioca, elephant ears and coleus are added to the gardens. August Dollar Day tickets are available for purchase only at the gate.
