Lose Fat Without Harming Your Heart

Feb 03, 2014 11:22PM ● By Sally Adamcik

Scientists and medical researchers alike differ on how many people fail trying to lose weight, but 95 to 99 percent of people who try to lose weight fail. No matter what method we use, we have less than a 1 in 20 chance of being successful. That’s why so many people turn to weight-loss programs they can “feel”. Stimulant-laden, fast-fix and edgy weight loss that does not help address lifestyle changes that are actually causing the problem is the biggest reason for the low success rate.

The big challenge is reducing overall body fat without stimulants or ingredients that artificially raise heart rate and keeping the fat off by changing long-practiced habits. Dr. Mehmet Oz stated on the Oprah Winfrey Show, “Getting rid of belly fat is simpler than you might think. With the right plan, it's actually easier to lose than stubborn lower-body fat or the seemingly impossible to tone back-of-the-arm flab.”

The goals for sustained fat loss are to increase metabolism, control hunger andreduce cravings for foods that cause us to store fat, all without raising our heart rate. When metabolism is adjusted back to maximum efficiency for our size, age and general health, we will be taking fat off and it will stay off. The Mayo Clinic states: “Realistic, well-planned weight-loss goals keep you focused and motivated. They provide a plan for change as you transition to a healthier lifestyle.”

Weight loss programs talk about raising metabolism, but the question is, can they raise metabolism without stimulants, jitters, insomnia and fatigue? Stimulants, stress, loss of sleep, and constant fatigue will only cause us to regain the weight we have lost. Dr. Mark Moyad, recognized by Preventionmagazine as the top weight-loss supplement developer in the world, says, “Unless you approach weight loss with the idea of  being heart-healthy, you should just forget about it. Cardiovascular disease has been the number one cause of death 100 out of the last 101 years. The only exception was 1918, when the Great Influenza Epidemic caused more deaths.”

A huge factor in actually losing fat, and therefore weight and inches, is believing that we can actually lose it and taking action. Seeing a difference and feeling a difference are central to succeeding at fat loss, and fat loss is the key to a healthier body and a healthier heart.

Moyad’s formula for longer life through weight control includes seven anti-aging secrets: avoid the use of tobacco in all forms; maintain healthy cholesterol levels; maintain healthy blood pressure; maintain healthy blood glucose; maintain healthy waist circumference and body mass; exercise regularly; and maintain a healthy diet score.

Stick to these three goals: increased metabolism, controlled hunger and eliminated cravings for food that causes us to store fat. Technologies exist that will help us reach these goals. By embracing leading-edge technology, we increase our chances for success in losing fat, and we will also be far healthier.
