Salvation Army Introduces New Obstacle Race

The Salvation Army is introducing the Most Good 5K and Obstacle Race, an innovative annual experience for runners and fitness enthusiasts, at 2 p.m., May 3, beginning in Trinity Groves, near the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge, through Downtown and Uptown Dallas. The event is all about raising funds to enable The Salvation Army to continue meeting the needs of the most vulnerable citizens of our community. Each registration fee helps provide a week of warm meals to a person in need.

To provide an ultra-challenging experience for participants, The Salvation Army has partnered with Camp Gladiator, the fastest-growing and most dynamic fitness program in the nation, to develop six obstacle stations where 125 two-person running teams will be pushed to the max as they compete to do the most good. There will also be a companion 5K run at 7 p.m. in Trinity Groves for those that prefer a more traditional race.

The Most Good 5K and Obstacle Race is part of the 125th anniversary celebration of The Salvation Army in Texas. An interactive festival from noon to 10 p.m. will include music, bounce houses, a rock-climbing wall, the Dallas Cowboys Hall of Fame trailer, a Camp Gladiator workout, freebies and giveaway items.
