The Regional Wholesale Market at the Dallas Farmers’ Market is the perfect place to buy the freshest-picked farm produce in the metroplex at a wholesale, bulk price straight from the farmer. These “night markets” are so named because they take place from 8 p.m. Sundays to 7 a.m. Monday and from 8 p.m. Thursday to 7 a.m. Friday.

Since the 1940s, farmers would pick and load during the daylight hours and arrive at the market during the night to sell in bulk to each other for their farm stands, restaurants and corner stores. This tradition continues to this day and is open to the public. Produce available this summer includes tomatoes, peaches, blueberries, new potatoes, onions, squash, cucumbers, sweet corn, southern peas, cantaloupes, watermelon, okra and more.
