Dallas’ Trinity River Audubon Center is offer a variety of Eco Camps for Kids this summer, for all ages, all interests and all abilities.

Animal Trackers Ages 5-6 • Jun 18-22 | Jun 25-29

Hop, fly and crawl to Animal Trackers Camp, where acting like an animal is encouraged. Explore and discover the amazing animals that live right here. Feel the soft fur of a mammal, taste an edible insect, make a bird feeder and meet live Texas animal ambassadors. Includes a camp T-shirt and snacks every day. Campers bring a sack lunch daily.

Texas Eco-Rangers Ages 7-9 • June 18-22 | Jun 25-29 | Jul 23-27

Explore the plants and animals of Texas natural landscape. Activities include hiking, nature journal, bird watching, exploring pond life, creating nature art, canoeing and setting up a campsite. Meet native Texas animals up close and personal. Includes a camp T-shirt and snacks every day. Campers bring a sack lunch daily.

Adventure Trekkers Ages 10-12 • Jul 23-27

At this Adventure Trekkers Camp, kids learn outdoor survival skills, make a survival shelter, go fishing and birding, hike and backpack four miles of trails, orienteer and geo-cache using compass and GPS, and nature journal. Also, build a campfire and set up tents and paddle the ponds in a kayak or canoe.

Wildlife Conservation Camp Ages 11-13 • Jul 30-Aug 3

Wildlife Conservation Camp engages campers in skills critical to building healthy communities and neighborhoods, where nature thrives and people prosper. Focused on the unique ecosystems of Dallas, campers learn about ecology and natural resource stewardship, and participate in onsite conservation projects.

Lone Star Overnight Adventure Camp Ages 8-10 • Week of June 11

In this full-day camp, step back in time and explore the life and times of the pioneers that settled Texas. Investigate plants that call Texas home and discover the fascinating wild world of Texas animals. Spend Monday through Wednesday at the Dallas Arboretum, and then spend an adventure-packed Thursday through Friday (including a staff-supervised overnight) at Trinity River Audubon Center, hiking, paddling, fishing and exploring the amazing North Texas landscape.
