Earth Day 2024 Events

Saturday, April 20

Earth Day 2024 – 9am-2pm. A day of nature-themed activities, guided hikes, exploration and more. All activities are free and will be available in and around the Nature Center. Registration is required for guided hikes (free) to guarantee your spot. ExperienceSouthlakeTexas.com.

Texoma Earth Day Festival – 9am-4pm. A community-wide, free, fun, family event where ordinary people learn practical things to improve the health of the planet, their children and themselves. Free admission. Sherman Municipal Grounds, 405 N Rusk, Sherman. EarthDayTexoma.org.

Monday, April 22

Earth Day Butterfly Flutterby – 1-2pm. Join us on Earth Day as we conduct a bioblitz, a biological census, of the Monarch Waystation, learn more and help maintain the native ecosystem. Spring Trash-Off and Recycling Drop-Off – 8:30-11am, Trash-off; 10am-1pm, Recycle drop-off; 10am-12pm, Festival.
