Strides, Rides and Rhythms: Standing Up to Cancer Together

Every October, communities across North
Texas come together to honor survivors, support those in treatment, and raise
awareness about cancer prevention. These gatherings are about more than
fundraising—they inspire hope, promote healthier living, and remind us of the
strength found in collective action. This fall, several local events invite
residents to walk, run, ride, and rally for a cause that touches nearly every
family.
Komen Dallas North Texas Race for the Cure – Oct. 18, Richardson
Susan G. Komen’s signature 5K returns to the UTD campus with in-person and
virtual options to celebrate survivors and advance research.
Run Against Breast Cancer 5K/10K/13.1 – Oct. 18, Fort Worth
This multi-distance run and walk along the Trinity invites all levels of
participants to show support.
Pink Diamonds Breast Cancer Awareness Ride – Oct. 11, Duncanville
Cyclists can choose routes from 15 to 50 miles, or join a family ride. Proceeds
benefit Pink Diamonds Survivors of Cancer.
4th Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Healthfair – Oct. 11, Dallas
Free screenings, wellness resources, and outreach begin at 10 a.m. at the Bob
Duncan Center.
Drummathon 2025 – Nov. 2, Plano
A free, family-friendly festival with celebrity drummers, auctions, and
community engagement.
Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk – Oct. 11, Dallas
Join this sunrise walk at Levy Event Plaza to honor survivors and raise
awareness locally.
