Winter Bird-Walk & Litter Clean-Up

Clear Creek Natural Heritage Center in Denton is a public nature preserve that is home to thousands of species of plants and animals.

Clear Creek Natural Heritage Center in Denton is a public nature preserve that is home to thousands of species of plants and animals. It consists of forest, prairie, riparian, and aquatic habitats, not only providing shelter and food for animals but also a place of quietness and refuge for Denton residents and visitors. Year-round, many different species of birds can be sighted and in the Spring and Fall we have migrant residents! Join TCA, the Friends of Northeast Denton, and Kacie Camp (our resident bird expert) on a hike at Clear Creek Natural Heritage Center to spot (and hear) some of these winter resident birds. Following the bird-walk, we will clean up litter from two of the roads that run adjacent to Clear Creek Natural Heritage Center, Collins Rd and Hartlee Field Rd. Participants may join both, the bird-walk and the clean-up or one or the other.
