Volunteers Needed by River Legacy

River Legacy is seeking volunteers for summer camp and fall activities. Here are some of the opportunities available to serve while learning:

River Legacy Living Science Center
Volunteers assist teachers in nurturing awareness and appreciation of nature in children, preschool through eigth grade. Dates: Session 1, June 20-24; Session 2, June 27-July 1; Session 3, July 11-15; Session 4, July 18-22.

River Legacy Sporting Clay Shoot
June 24, at Elm Fork Shooting Sports—River Legacy’s fund-raising clay shoot. Volunteers are needed for registration, setup and breakdown, and as shooting station attendants.

Water Awareness Through Education & Recreation Festival
September 17, at River Legacy Living Science Center—Volunteers are needed to facilitate activities, setup and breakdown.

After Dark in the Park
October 7, 8, 9, at River Legacy Parks & Living Science Center—Volunteers are needed for setup and breakdown, to prepare and sell concessions, and to facilitate games and crafts.

Gift Wrap Extravaganza
In December, volunteers wrap contributions to River Legacy Foundation and its environmental education programs.

River Legacy Living Science Center is a 12,000-square-foot nature center that features interactive exhibits, aquariums, terrariums, environmental education programs, a gift shop and nature trails.
