Petco, a national pet supermarket retail chain, has opened a new store in the Las Colinas Shopping Center, at 4030 North MacArthur Boulevard, Irving. The 9,000-square-foot store provides the products, services and advice that Petco has been providing for more than 40 years to help pet owners to be great pet parents.

Since opening their first store in 1965 in LaMesa, California, Petco has been committed to cutting- edge animal care and a, “Think adoption First,” philosophy of educating responsible pet parents and supporting animal welfare groups.

Petco excels in its efforts to add to a healthy planet. Green practices include reus- able shopping bags, Petco cardboard pet carries, a state-of-the-art distribution center that significantly reduces mileage travelled and diesel fuel usage, and company cell phone recycling.
