After several years in California, the trade show and exhibition Solar Power International is coming to Dallas from October 17 to 20 to generate powerful new ideas, connections and business for the solar industry. Dallas is the fourth-largest metropolitan area in the nation, with many solar energy-related enterprises. It is expected that 24,000 professionals will be in attendance from businesses spanning the entire spectrum of the industry for four days of product exploration, discussion, professional enrichment and networking.

As a business-to-business-focused conference, there will be the opportunity to launch and see new products and innovations; problem-solve with manufacturers and engineers; meet with investors or financiers; educate and influence policymakers; and identify new career opportunities in the solar industry.

Texas ranks as first in the nation in solar resource potential and industry experts predict Texas will rise from number 10 in photovoltaic installations to number one or two within the next five years. According to the State Energy Conservation Office (SECO), Texas ranks first in the United States in its solar resource potential.

At the conference, there will be sessions that broaden awareness of the issues affecting the industry and individual businesses and in-depth discussion about the challenges of day-to-day solar industry operations.
