The festive, family friendly annual Dallas Jingle Bell Run, benefiting Trinity Strand Trail and the Mavericks Foundation, will be held December 21, at the Hilton Anatole, which has hosted the race since 2009. The one-mile fun run will begin at 6:30 p.m. and the 5K race starts at 7 p.m., followed by fun, food and festivities that include Pizza Patron pizza and music by the Ray Johnston Band.

Participants run through the Dallas Design District. For those who enjoy a slower pace there is a one-mile fun run, and a 5K race for those that need to work off some of those yummy holiday treats. The Jingle Bell Run was held by Carter BloodCare for more than 20 years, through 2004. Trinity Strand Trail and the Mavericks Foundation were able to partner with Luke’s Locker to bring it back in 2009.
