Candlelight in the Park December 10 and 11

Candlelight in the Park will be held this year from 3 to 9 p.m., December 10 and 11, at Dallas Heritage Village, in the Old City Park. A 40-year Dallas tradition, Candlelight in the Park includes carriage rides along candlelit paths pulled by an antique tractor or Mammoth Jack donkeys Nip and Tuck; photos with St. Nicholas at the Bandstand; novel storytelling; hand-weaving; blacksmithing; delicious holiday treats and more.

Local dancers, choirs and other entertainers will ply the Main Street Stage, and the Pilot Grove Church and Renner School Exhibit of Candlelight Memories is on display in the Print Shop. Interpreters in traditional costume are stationed throughout the museum, bringing history to life. Gleeful carolers stroll throughout the Village and inside the historic buildings.
Dallas Heritage Village and the land on which it sits have a long and rich connection with Dallas history. Site of many firsts, this piece of land became Dallas’ first city park in 1876. The park has been the site of many weddings and other elegant affairs, including the famed Cattle Barons Ball.

Tickets are $6-8. For more information call 214-421-5141or visit DallasHeritageVillage.org/Event
