Trammell Crow Keynotes DCCCD Sustainability Summit

The second annual Dallas County Community College District Sustainability Summit, April 5, at Eastfield College, will address how individuals, the local business community and educational institutions will benefit from beginning their own journey toward sustainability and adopting the concept of the triple bottom line concept (actions must be good for people, the planet and everyone’s wallet).

Former DCCCD Board of Trustees member Trammell S. Crow will give the keynote address. Crow serves as chairman of the Trammell and Margaret Crow Collection of Asian Art. He is actively involved with various groups, including League of Conservation Voters, Republicans for Environmental Protection, the Nature Conservancy of Texas, Texas Business for Clean Air and Texas Land Conservancy, and supports myriad conservation and environmental efforts, including Earth Day Dallas

Summit participants can choose from five tracks, including Zero Waste, Local Report Card, Sustainable Careers, Sustainable Schools and Colleges and Sustainable Homes. Proceeds of the conference will benefit EDD, Inc., a Texas nonprofit organization.

Free for DCCCD students, staff and community members. Door prize eligibility for registration before April 3. Location: 3737 Motley Dr., Mesquite, TX. For more information, call 214-378-1823 or visit dcccd.edu/sustainabilitysummit.
