The Natural Chef Opens Up A Texas Tea Room

May 14, 2012 12:38PM

Natural Chef Kelly Stephan has gone public with her natural and organic personal chef services with the opening of the Tumbleweed Café, in the heart of downtown Justin, Texas, inside Mommies Trading Post. Stephan has been providing private personal chef services in the Metroplex since 2008. She walks the walk as it relates to green, always using the freshest of ingredients.

The Tumbleweed Café features homemade, all-natural and organic meals, with a focus on obtaining local ingredients to support the surrounding farming communities. The daily menu consists of a sampler sandwich plate and soup and chef salad, with ingredients varying daily, for a wide variety. Croutons and salad dressings are made fresh daily, as are all desserts.

The Tumbleweed serves a variety of iced teas brewed in Austin, Texas, and some made in-house. Coffee is brewed by the cup and they grind their own beans. Stephan utilizes compostable dinnerware, donates food scraps to local farms for composting and recycles bottles and plastics in her efforts to be as close to a zero-waste facility as possible.

All meals are under $10. Location: 100 W. 3rd St., Justin, TX. For more information, call 940-648-0464.
