Earth Thrive, a Texas-based energy and resource technology hub, has been awarded B Corporation certification from B Lab. Fewer than 750 corporations nationally have received that status.

Much like the U.S. Green Building Council certifies LEED buildings, B Lab, a national nonprofit organization, certifies B Corporations, a new type of corporation that uses the power of business to solve social and environmental problems. Unlike traditional businesses, B Corps meet comprehensive and transparent social and environmental performance standards; higher legal accountability standards; and build business constituency for public policies that support sustainable business. B Corporations are a diverse community with one unifying goal: to redefine success in business. Through a company’s public B Impact Report, anyone can access performance data about the social and environmental practices that stand behind their products.
