Sustainability Summit: Saving the Planet Takes Generations

The Dallas County Community College District’s 2014 Sustainability Summit will be held from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., April 16, at North Lake College, in Irving.

The keynote speakeris nationally-known permaculture expert Toby Hemenway, author of Gaia’s Garden: A Guide to Home-Scale Permaculture, and workshops and sessions focusing on a variety of topics, as well as exhibitors sharing information about their green products and services. Will be in attendance

Participants also can learn about women across the globe that have initiated environmental projects in their communities during a free showing of the movie documentary Arise.
