Blanco Lavender Festival

The 10th annual Blanco Lavender Festival will be held from June 13 through 15 on the courthouse square and in nearby Yett Park in the lavender capital of Texas. The festival usually draws about 20,000 people from across the state to Blanco, which is an hour from both San Antonio and Austin.

The festival is held in early June so visitors can catch the lavender blooms at their peak at nearby farms—Hill Country Lavenderand Imagine Lavender—open up to guests, where admission is free. Other highlights include a speaker’s pavilion where guests can learn about how to grow and use lavender, as well as live music and the official Lavender Dance on Saturday night, from 6:30 to 11 p.m.

Tickets for the dance are $10. For more information, call 830-833-5101or visit the Blanco Chamber of Commerce online at BlancoLavenderFest.com.
