Denton Race for the Cure

The Denton Race for the Cure is a 5K run/walk beginning at 6 a.m., September 27, to raise funds and awareness for the fight against breast cancer. Now in its fourth year, the Denton event celebrates breast cancer survivorship and honors those that have lost their battle with the disease. It all begins at the C.H. Collins Athletic complex.

Those wishing to participate can either start a team, join an existing team or register as in individual. Registration is now open and events are: competitive/timed 5K, casual 5K run/walk and one-mile family fun run/walk. Susan G. Komen North Texas is working to better the lives of those facing breast cancer in the local community.

Registration fees are $35 for adults, $25 for students and $20 for seniors and youth. Location: 1500 Long Rd. For more information, call Susan G. Komen North Texas at 972-378-4808 or visit
