Dallas Sierra Club Earth, Wind & Fire Energy Summit
The Dallas Sierra Club will hold the inaugural Earth, Wind & Fire Energy Summit to demystify energy resource issues for non-experts October 4 an 5 at the Addison Conference Center, featuring high-profile speakers from research universities, industry associations and institutions, and policy makers from Texas and around the country.
Rita Beving, conservation co-chair of the Dallas Sierra Club, says, “This conference is unique in that it not only covers many traditional sources of energy, including natural gas, coal, oil and nuclear, but also discusses renewables and emerging forms of energy such as waste-to-energy generation.”
The conference is open to the public, nonprofit organizations, environmental professionals, small business owners and students that want to gain a global perspective of the dynamic and changing nature of energy in America; explore how America’s demand for energy today translates into its production and expansion in the U.S. and Texas; learn about the potential human and environmental impacts caused by energy production; and meet and network with an array of experts, respected organizations, and other individuals working on energy issues.
Cost is $55 to Sept. 2, $75 after. Register at EarthWindFireSummit.org.
