Dallas Farmers’ Market GROWS Even Better

Sep 01, 2014 12:43AM

A unique private-nonprofit partnership, the Dallas Farmers’ Market has joined forces with GROW North Texas, which manages farmer relationships to improve product mix and quality. The group is actively procuring farmers, local vendors and food artisans for the Dallas Farmers’ Market and the broad hunger programs it supports.

The Dallas Farmers’ Market, one of the largest and oldest public markets in the United States, is open and ready for Labor Day weekend as a destination for farmers, chefs, foodies and families.

New food vendors join perennial crowd favorites with a focus on local farmers and transparency through clearly labeled, high-quality produce. Carts are available for shopping and a stage at the east end features weekend highlights such as live music, chef demonstrations and cooking classes.
