Donate to Make-A-Wish North Texas This Christmas
Entirely funded by private donations by individuals and corporate sponsors, Make-A-Wish grants more than 14,000 wishes each year through 61 chapters across the U.S. that rely on volunteer and donor support to create life-changing experiences for more than 8,000 children between 3 and 17 years old battling life-threatening medical conditions. Founded in 1980, this homegrown, movement, started in Phoenix, has spread around the globe to nearly 50 countries.
“The impact Make-A-Wish has had on the lives of children around the U.S. and around the world is immeasurable,” said David Williams, president and CEO of Make-A-Wish America. “We know that a wish-come-true can make wish kids feel better and in some cases, get better as they battle life-threatening medical conditions.”
Kids say wishes give them renewed strength to fight their illness, and their parents say these experiences help strengthen the entire family. With the help of generous donors and more than 25,000 volunteers, Make-A-Wish grants a wish somewhere in the country every 38 minutes.
