Polo for the Planet Raises Awareness for Earth-Friendly Living

The seventh annual Polo for the Planet, produced by the Ladies Polo Auxiliary of Texas, will take place on June 6 at the Prestonwood Polo & Country Club, in Oak Point. Gates open at 5 p.m. and the match begins at 6 p.m.
The event promises an evening of excitement and eco-friendly fare while enjoying the sport of kings. Families may bring a picnic dinner and tailgate or purchase food on-site. Leashed dogs are welcome and there will be a bounce house for children. Trophies will be presented by Miss Earth Dallas, Joann Emale, and Miss Teen Dallas, Allyssa Alvarado.
Environmentally friendly companies with products and environmental education to share will be exhibiting. Dena Miller, founder of the Ladies Polo Auxiliary, “Polo for the Planet has become one of the auxiliary’s most popular events and environmental education for our community is among our high priorities.”
