The Electric Car Strikes Back
Aug 04, 2015 01:31PM
What started in 2011 as National Plug In Day with the simple idea to hold simultaneous events across the country on the same day expanded to an entire week of events and changed the name to National Drive Electric Week, observed from September 12 through 20.
The DFW event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., September 19.
People can get up close to electric vehicles (EV) and their technology and participate in informational displays from organizations and technologies, hands-on activities for adults and children, entertainment, giveaways and ride and drives for available EV models.
Texas is among the top 10 states in the number of electric vehicles EVs on the road and the North Central Texas Council of Governments invites North Texans to learn about them at local events.
