The Sweetest Race Ever

Called “America’s sweetest race,” the Hot Chocolate 15k/5k will be held in Dallas at 7:30 and 8:15 a.m., February 6, at Fair Park. Established in 2008, the fist event ran through the streets of Chicago. Since its inception, more than 500,000 participants have run for the chocolate, making it perhaps the fastest-growing race series in the nation. There will be three minutes between waves to maintain a safe, fast and fun course for all participants. Racers must pick up their packets at the Hot Chocolate Expo from 2 to 7 p.m., February 4 or 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., February 5. There is no race day packet pick-up.

At the post-race party runners will enjoy music, a family-friendly kid zone with bounce houses and games, and finishers’ mugs filled with hot chocolate, chocolate fondue and tasty, dippable treats. Ronald McDonald House Charities is the official charity partner of the Hot Chocolate 15k/5k series. Participants may also want to go the Extra Mile by raising additional funds for families in need, and can setup a fundraising page on the run website.
