Linda Gossett Featured at Creative Art Center 50th Anniversary
The Creative Arts Center of Dallas (CAC), a nonprofit school of visual arts and community arts organization geared to beginning, emerging and working artists, will host a new exhibition, Process 2 Product: from Inspiration to Innovation, through August 19. The exhibition series, organized in observance of the 50th anniversary of CAC, explores the artistic process of ceramic artist Linda Gossett from conception to a finished solution. There will be an opening reception from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
The exhibition demonstrates the struggle and satisfaction of working through an idea with either the desired outcome or knowledge for the next effort. Gossett has been working in clay for more than 20 years.
CAC is a thriving arts community for a diverse range of students from teens to seniors, offering more than 500 classes and workshops per year in such disciplines as ceramics, clay sculpture, creative writing, drawing, fi ber, glass, jewelry, metal arts, mosaic, painting, photography, printmaking and stone carving.
