Our pets are members of our family, to be sure. Unfortunately, they cannot always accompany us on our travels. It’s important to find just right “hotel” for them so they are not unduly stressed by our absence and we can have peace of mind about their custodial care.
Canine Country Club and Wellness Center
Dogs large and small love playing and lodging at Canine Country Club and Wellness Center. Pups have a packed schedule each day, which includes breakfast, morning activities, nap time, afternoon actives, dinner and belly rubs before sleep. Activities include an obstacle course, tetherball, swimming, Frisbee, tennis ball catching, diving contests in the lake and more; allowing dogs to socialize and enjoy their time. Medications are administered as needed. All boarding areas are climate controlled. Also on-site is a wellness center that offers dental, fitness and nutrition services. Odyssey pets has been serving the Dallas area since 2005. The pet shop stocks holistic pet foods, treats and high-quality pet supplies. Also on-site is a dog boarding and daycare center; which comes complete with five potty breaks, at least one hour of play time daily, blankets and soft music at night. Grooming services are also available, and products used are all-natural and free of parabens and harsh chemicals. The shop was awarded Retailer of the Year from 2014-2016 by Pet Product News.

Resort for Pets at Eagle Mountain Lake
This resort-style boarding facility caters to dogs, cats, avian and exotic pets. Dog lodging includes four-foot by five-foot or four-foot by six-foot suites with tempered glass fronts, individual field turf yards, individualized attention, medical care, grooming, photo updates, pet report cards and a 24-hour security system. All guests are let outside four times a day to exercise and play. The facility is located directly beside Boat Club Animal Hospital, which ensures pets’ veterinary attention as needed. Add-on options include extra play time, pool time, group play time, cuddle time, tuck in and grooming. Dogs receive the nutritious Royal Canin GL low-fat food.

Urban Paws is a pet retreat center in downtown Dallas that provides boarding, daycare, grooming, training and more. The facility houses more than 19,000 feet of oversized townhomes, and indoor and outdoor parks. Dogs are fed high-quality holistic, food at breakfast and lunchtime. All boarded dogs are taken to the park four times a day, with a daycare add-on option which includes a full day of play. The sleeping quarters have raised beds and large windows overlooking downtown. Siblings boarding together receive a $15 discount.
