The Great Seed Bomb Race

The annual Great Seed Bomb Race will take place 1 to 5 p.m., November 5, at the Clear Fork Food Truck Park, in Ft. Worth. Registration begins at noon. This all-ages, 15k fun bike ride is a double-impact fundraiser will help pollinators in two ways. During the ride, seed balls made of clay, organic compost and native, non-GMO milkweed and wildflower seed will be thrown and launched from bikes by the riders. A portion of the money raised will then be donated to the Native Prairies Association of Texas to keep the work going.

With billions of dollars of agriculture and our food supply at stake, a group of local community organizations, dedicated volunteers, environmentalists and small business owners are collaborating on this grassroots bike event to help bees and monarch butterflies.

The Fort Worth event will benefit the Native Prairies Association of Texas (Fort Worth Chapter) and feature environmental learning activities and an after party with live music from Denton band, The Monkberries.
