Open House at Historic Tyler Station

Tyler Station, a new co-working village in Oak Cliff, will hold an open house from 2 to 3:30 p.m., January 7. Attendees will meet founder Monte Anderson, tour the property and there will be door prizes. This unique re-use project is also a transit-oriented development, located adjacent to the DART Tyler/Vernon station.

Tyler Station is located in the historic Dixie Wax Paper Company building. Eventually renamed Dixico, the company patented and produced waxed paper, controlling 20 percent of the flexible packaging market in the 1970s. Later Delta Industries owned the building, where they rebuilt automotive air conditioners.

Early tenants of the 110,000-square-foot building include Stash Design, a sustainable commercial design company, Oak Cliff Brewing Company and Dallas Movement Lab. Space remains available for uses such as light manufacturing, creatives and offices.

Admission is free; get tickets online at TylerStationOpenHouse.brownpapertickets.com. Location: 1300 S. Polk St. The building is easily accessible by DART train at the Tyler/Vernon stop. For more information, visit TylerStation.com.
