Environmental Superconference Goes Online

The 32nd annual Texas Environmental Superconference will be held online August 6 and 7. Although virtual, it will still have conference song, skits, quizzes and prizes.


This year’s theme is Hindsight is 2020. Topics are Ethics: Environmental Issues and the Public; EPA and Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ )During the Pandemic: Enforcement Discretion and Rollback; A Future Perspective; Case Law Update; Air Issues; Climate Change; and Flooding and Reservoirs.


Speakers include Anne Idsal Austin, EPA principal deputy assistant administrator for air; Ken McQueen, EPA region 6 regional administrator; Bob Perciasepe, president, Center for Climate and Energy Solutions and former acting and deputy EPA administrator; Jon Niermann, TCEQ chair; Ryan Vise, TCEQ director, external relations; Jeff Walker, executive administrator, Texas Water Development Board; Howard Slobodin, general counsel Trinity River Authority; Judy Braus, executive director, North American Association for Environmental Education; Al Collins,  of Oxy Low Carbon Ventures; David Young, of Union Pacific; Seth Jaffe, of Foley Hoag LLP; and Ashleigh Acevedo, of the Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman law firm.
