Contactless Kiosks for Public Health

Smart City Media and Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) are working together to address public COVID-19 concerns through touchless kiosk engagement. All Dallas-area “Citypost” kiosks have been upgraded with touchless mobile activation of all broadcast content at bus and light rail stations.


The upgrade makes the DART information contactless and viewable from mobile devices through embedded QR code activation. Smart City Media helps DART respond quickly to passengers’ needs, fusing critical transportation services, access to opportunities and public health preservation.


Tom Touchet, CEO of Smart City Media, says, “With COVID-19, one of the biggest public concerns is the transfer of the virus by touch. We wanted to help address that directly without any disruption of the valuable information we’re providing for the community.”
