Jingle Bell Run to be Held Online

Nov 29, 2020 12:40PM ● By Annalise Combs

The Dallas Jingle Bell Run, an annual Dallas fundraising tradition for more than 20 years, will be moving to a virtual event for 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Those that have already registered for the race will be automatically transferred to a virtual registration. All proceeds support the Dallas Mavs Foundation and Trinity Strand Trail. Comprising a nighttime 5k race and a one-mile fun run, participants will still be encouraged to run dressed in their spirited holiday attire and receive a pair of jingle bells to "jingle all the way" through the race.

In 2002, the Friends of the Trinity Strand Trail spearheaded the planning, construction and enhancement of a 7.8-mile, non-motorized hike and bike trail along the original Trinity River watercourse in the Dallas Design District. The nonprofit Dallas Mavericks Foundation , which is also located along the trail, is dedicated to building a stronger community by empowering youth, women, and families that need the most through financial support, advocacy and service.

Virtual 5k with timing cost is $35 plus $3.03 sign-up fee. Registration ends Dec. 17. For more information, email [email protected] or visit RunSignup.com.
