City of Irving Environmental Career Symposium
The purpose of the Environmental Career Symposium is to promote the advancement of environmental related careers and provide residents and visitors the opportunity to meet and engage with environmental professionals in the public and private sectors. The audience is high school and college students, or anyone looking to enhance or change careers into the expansive and innovative industry of environmental careers.
We will have informational booths as well as 2 panel sessions, which are:
- How to Choose the Right Environmental Career for You – Topics include choosing a degree, public vs. private, how to break into the industry, and more
- A Day in my Life – Topics include typical tasks and responsibilities, office vs. field work, skills you need every day, and more
All participants are asked to sign up ahead of time with this registration link CityofIrving.org/Env-Careers
Participants are also required to bring a picture ID (could be school ID, driver’s license or permit, etc.)
