Moved Online: The Way of the Rain – Hope For Earth to World Premiere at Earthx2020
Multimedia Performance Caps Off EarthX 50th Earth Day Celebration Week on April 25 at Music Hall, Fair Park in Dallas
The world’s largest environmental gathering is going virtual from Dallas. EarthX attracted over 177k to Fair Park last year, but in light of what is happening the EXPO has been canceled and EarthX will host its Earthx2020 Conferences and Film Festival virtually from April 23-25 and into May while some will be moved to the fall. The 50th Earth Day Celebration will be livestreamed on April 22. The virtual experience will be layered with EarthxFilm Festival programming of select 2020 films, which will then present its physical Film Festival in the fall along with the EarthxGlobalGala and the world premiere of The Way of the Rain – Hope For Earth, directed by Sibylle Szaggars Redford with a special narration – spoken word by Robert Redford.
EarthX will host The Way of the Rain – Hope For Earth, a multidisciplinary environmental performance created and directed by Sibylle Szaggars Redford, in collaboration with Music Composer Tim Janis, Performance Film Artist Floyd Thomas McBee, with a special narration – spoken word by Robert Redford. The performance will be held on April 25 at Music Hall, Fair Park in Dallas for Earthx2020. Capping off the week of events, the performance interprets nature’s powerful beauty while calling attention to the Earth’s vulnerability brought on by climate change.
