Dallas Sierra Club General Meeting

Democracy Reform: How To Achieve Aggressive Climate Action

The 2010 Citizens United decision unleashed a tsunami of big money into the political process, money that has discouraged Congress from addressing the climate crisis. Former Dallas Sierra Club Chair, Ann Drumm, argues that addressing the money that distorts policy priorities is a prerequisite to Congress taking effective action on climate. Ann’s current role with the North Texas chapter of American Promise is building support for a constitutional amendment that will allow Congress and states to set limits on political spending. From 6:45 to 7:00 p.m. you can log in to the meeting, chat, and ask questions. The meeting will begin at 7:00 with announcements, followed by our speaker's presentation.
