Get to Know the Healthy Creeks Initiative – Webinar

Join the Hill Country Alliance online for a free, lunchtime information session highlighting the Healthy Creeks Initiative. Learn about the importance of riparian systems, concerns around infestations of non-native Arundo (aka Giant Reed, River Cane), and steps that volunteering landowners are taking to control Arundo in order to enhance the health and diversity of Hill Country creeks and rivers. Through the Healthy Creeks Initiative, the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department, Hill Country Alliance, and other key partners have engaged hundreds of volunteering private landowners to implement large-scale management of Arundo on Hill Country rivers and streams. Landowner participation is essential to maximizing the success of this project.
