Plant ID Hike at Marion Sansom Park

Join Texas Conservation Alliance and the North Central Chapter of the Native Plant Society of Texas to learn how to identify different grasses, forbs, shrubs, & trees, focusing on species native to North Central Texas!

Marion Sansom Park is a 260 acre park in Fort Worth that overlooks the West Fork of the Trinity River and Lake Worth. It consists of 11 miles of hiking and biking trails that traverse through forest, riparian, aquatic, and prairie habitat. Many of the prairie plants that grow here are only found in North Central Texas. Join Texas Conservation Alliance and the North Central Chapter of the Native Plant Society of Texas to learn how to identify different grasses, forbs, shrubs, & trees, focusing on species native to North Central Texas! To keep the trails and waterways clean, materials will also be available to remove litter along our hike.

Texas Conservation Alliance is a Texan by Nature Conservation Partner. Click here to see more conservation events across Texas.
