The 31st Annual National Solar Tour will spotlight North Texas clean energy projects October 2 through 4, offering residents free opportunities to explore solar installations, battery storage systems and sustainable home design across Dallas-Fort Worth.

Presented nationally by the American Solar Energy Society and locally with the Texas Solar Energy Society, the free tour connects homeowners, businesses and community members with real-world examples of renewable energy, electric vehicles and energy-efficiency upgrades.

Featured North Texas sites include the Westbrook Net-Zero Passive Solar Home in Fairview, a longtime tour stop featuring passive solar design, geothermal heating and cooling, solar water heating and battery backup. Residential installations in Plano and Frisco will demonstrate rooftop photovoltaic systems paired with home battery storage, while Dallas sites will highlight solar applications on commercial and educational buildings.

Attendees can speak directly with system owners about installation experiences, financing, battery performance and energy resilience. Virtual tours of additional projects nationwide will also be available through the National Solar Tour platform.
