Green Source DFW Awards Celebrate Sustainability

The eighth annual Sustainable Leadership Awards, hosted by Green Source DFW and its parent nonprofit, the Memnosyne Institute, will take place November 14 at the Dallas Arboretum.

The evening will kick off with an awards ceremony celebrating North Texas green heroes. Categories include Environmental Science and Innovation for new products, business models or ideas benefiting the environment; Conservation Activist for preserving resources, wildlife and green space; Green Project or Program for a profit or nonprofit; Coke Buchanan Volunteer of the Year for outstanding volunteer service to a green cause or organization and other specialty awards.

Montopolis, an Austin-based music ensemble, will perform The Legend of Big Bend. The musicians include members of the Austin Symphony, Okkervil River, The Polyphonic Spree and the Tosca String Quartet.
