Finding Balance with Frequency Technology
by Sheila Julson
Master practitioner Dr. Alisa Rich at The Energy Shop Wellness Center has never taken no for an answer. As a young child, she wanted to be a doctor, but was discouraged by the adults in her life that told her girls should be nurses instead.
Undaunted, she completed a master’s and doctorate degrees while raising a young family and began teaching medical toxicology at a medical school. Her expertise in chemistry led to an invitation to become a member of the World Health Organization Chemical Risk Assessment Network. Rich then completed a fellowship with the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute.
While working in pediatric oncology research, Rich studied the "frequencies" of pharmaceuticals. “They weren’t natural frequencies of the body. I saw how certain aspects of complementary medicine could be useful in supporting the body during chemotherapy or radiation, and help mitigate some known adverse effects,” she explains.
Soon, Rich would discover the true power of frequency technology for herself. A dentist had accidentally injected her trigeminal nerve at the root during a dental procedure, causing facial paralysis and extreme nerve pain on the left side of her face. After numerous consultations with other dentists, she was told there was nothing that could be done.
“That was not acceptable. I refused to live like this.” Rich researched multiple biofeedback technologies containing neurofeedback capabilities known to help with neurological pain. Ultimately, she found the L.I.F.E. System technology, an advanced electro-physiological passive biofeedback device designed to aid in muscle relaxation and stress reduction.
“With more than 40 programs, the L.I.F.E. System was able to send specific frequencies to the damaged area to help my body repair nerves and regain muscle control of the damaged area. Since then, I have regained 80 percent muscle use, feeling in my face, and it reduced the excruciating neurological pain,” she relates.
Helping Others Regain LIFE
Rich achieved the status of master biofeedback practitioner, allowing her to train practitioners across the U.S. on the L.I.F.E. System. She opened The Energy Shop Wellness Center in August 2020 to help clients overcome chronic pain and complex medical issues using her combined expertise in toxicology and the L.I.F.E. System.
Biofeedback has been used for years to balance ADD/ADHD, PTSD, anxiety and addictions. Rich explains the L.I.F.E. System is unique in that it is a passive type of biofeedback, where no client participation or game playing is involved. “It allows me to use my medical knowledge and chemical expertise, combined with an instrument capable of quantifiable data, to coach the body to return to a state of health. Most of the time, the body has the capability to heal itself if given the support and direction it needs.”
Rich uses the L.I.F.E. System to help clients overcome chronic headaches/migraine pain, spinal issues, muscle pain and “gracious aging,” as Rich describes. She also helps veterans, active military and government contractors detoxify their bodies from exposure to heavy metal concentrations or radiation.
Rich emphasizes that she doesn’t diagnose, treat or cure any diseases, but rather helps the body heal itself. A patient’s first assessment takes one to two hours. She identifies areas of susceptibility, weakness or dysfunction in the body. Using the guidance of the L.I.F.E. System, she can help clients de-stress the body and start it on a natural healing process.
Patients recline in an easy chair and relax as diodes in a headband read frequencies to and from the body through the L.I.F.E. System device. The number of hour-long treatment sessions vary, depending on the condition and need of the clients. Her goal is to get people to a place of optimal function, and then have the client come in for a “tune-up” every few weeks.
With the L.I.F.E. System device, Rich can provide color-coded pictures for patients to share with other health care providers to help guide them in patient care. Most people are good candidates for L.I.F.E. biofeedback, except those that are pregnant or have a pacemaker. There is no age restriction. The L.I.F.E. System is mobile, so Rich can do home visits. “It motivates me to get phone calls from clients that say they feel great after a session or two. That is exactly the goal,” Rich concludes.
