Women in North Texas now have access to a new option for supplemental breast imaging with the opening of Quantum Breast Imaging, the first facility in Texas to offer FDA-cleared Quantitative Transmission Imaging (QTI). The Dallas clinic officially opens September 1 at 5220 Spring Valley Road, Suite LL15.

Unlike traditional mammography, QTI uses low-frequency sound waves, speed-of-sound biomarkers and artificial intelligence to create a three-dimensional image of breast tissue without ionizing radiation, breast compression or contrast dyes. The technology is intended as a supplemental imaging tool that may be especially beneficial for women with dense breast tissue, breast implants or those seeking ongoing monitoring without radiation exposure. It is FDA-cleared for breast imaging in women age 18 and older.

According to the company, clinical studies indicate the technology may improve visualization in dense breast tissue while reducing unnecessary callbacks and follow-up procedures. The scan typically takes about 10 to 12 minutes per breast and is designed to provide a comfortable patient experience.
