Jul 31, 2026 08:38AM ● By Bernice Butler

The 98th Annual North Texas Fair & Rodeo returns to Denton August 21–30, bringing 10 days of live country music, professional rodeo competition, carnival rides, livestock shows, family activities and classic fair food to the North Texas Fairgrounds, 2217 N. Carroll Blvd.

One of North Texas' longest-running traditions, the volunteer-supported event celebrates the region's Western heritage while offering entertainment for all ages. Visitors can enjoy nightly PRCA rodeos, live concerts featuring Texas country artists, kid-friendly attractions, shopping, agricultural exhibits and a variety of contests, including baking, photography and youth art.

Families with young children can also cheer on aspiring cowboys and cowgirls during the popular Mutton Bustin' competition, while rodeo fans will find action-packed events each evening. Whether attending for the music, midway, rodeo or local traditions, the fair offers something for every generation.

The North Texas Fair & Rodeo is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and promoting Western heritage and values while supporting youth agricultural and educational programs throughout the region.

Location: North Texas Fairgrounds, 2217 N. Carroll Blvd., Denton. For tickets, concert schedules and event information, visit NTFair.com or call 940-387-2632.
