North Texans can put environmental stewardship into action this September with volunteer cleanups targeting lakes, rivers, parks and neighborhoods across the region.

September 12 – Eagle Mountain Lake Trash Bash
Volunteers can join the Tarrant Regional Water District (TRWD) from 8 to 10 a.m. to remove litter around Eagle Mountain Lake, followed by an after-party from 10 a.m. to noon. Supplies are provided and individuals and groups are welcome.

September 12 – White Rock Lake Shoreline Spruce-Up
For the Love of the Lake hosts its monthly shoreline cleanup from 8 a.m. to noon at White Rock Lake. Volunteers can pick up supplies at 8007 E. Northwest Hwy. and clean designated areas around the lake. Kayaks and canoes are also available for volunteers collecting debris from the water. No registration is required.

September 12 – Benbrook Trash Bash
The 34th annual Benbrook Trash Bash begins with check-in at 8:30 a.m. at the Benbrook Community Center/YMCA, followed by cleanup at 9 a.m. Gloves and trash bags are provided.

September 13 and 27 – Keep Dallas Beautiful
Keep Dallas Beautiful will hold community cleanup events September 13 at Harry Stone Recreation Center and September 27 at W.H. Adamson High School.

September 19 – Trinity River Trash Bash
TRWD volunteers will tackle litter along the Trinity River and surrounding areas in Fort Worth from 8 to 10 a.m. September 19 is also National CleanUp Day.

September 26 – Cedar Creek Lake and Mesquite Trash Bashes
TRWD concludes its September series at Cedar Creek Lake, while Keep Mesquite Beautiful hosts its citywide cleanup the same morning
