The City of Dallas Office of Environmental Quality & Sustainability will host the 9th Annual North Texas Climate Symposium on April 20 at the Hilton Anatole, bringing together regional leaders to address climate challenges and advance sustainable solutions.
Held in conjunction with Earthx2026, the symposium serves as a key forum for policymakers, industry experts, environmental advocates and community leaders to collaborate on strategies that support long-term resilience across North Texas. This year’s theme, “Climate Resilience: Strengthening the Core of North Texas,” reflects the growing need to respond to rapid urban growth and increasingly extreme weather patterns.
The symposium will feature a keynote address by Dr. Earthea Nance, EPA Region 6 Administrator, and convene a diverse group of regional policymakers, sustainability leaders and industry experts. As part of the Earthx2026 Congress of Conferences, attendees gain access to high-level dialogue and forward-thinking solutions shaping both North Texas and global climate strategies. Panel discussions and breakout sessions will focus on actionable approaches tied to the City of Dallas’ Comprehensive Environmental & Climate Action Plan, offering practical insights for businesses, communities and individuals.
Topics include renewable energy and efficiency, sustainable mobility, circular economy strategies and environmental justice initiatives focused on communities most vulnerable to heat and flooding.
The Office of Environmental Quality & Sustainability leads Dallas’ environmental efforts, advancing clean air, water conservation and sustainable development initiatives. Through implementation of the Comprehensive Environmental & Climate Action Plan, the office works to build a more resilient, equitable and sustainable future for Dallas residents.
Organizers emphasize the symposium is designed not only to inform, but to inspire collaboration and accelerate real-world solutions that strengthen the region’s environmental, economic and community resilience.
The event is free to attend as part of EarthX North Texas Day, with advance registration required due to limited capacity.
